Dimplex 100" Trim Kit for Ignite Evolve and IgniteXL

The Dimplex trim kit (model XLFTRIM100, Dimplex order number X-XLFTRIM100) finishes a 100-inch fireplace to the wall, covering the joint between the appliance and your finish material so no cut edge of drywall, tile or stone shows.

One kit, two ranges. Dimplex lists this as the "Ignite Evolve / XL Trim Kit" — it fits both the Ignite Evolve 100" (EVO100) and the IgniteXL 100" (XLF100). If you have either, this is your trim.

Do You Need One?

Not necessarily. Both the Evolve and the IgniteXL are designed so the factory trim can come off and finish material run right to the glass for a frameless look. The trim kit is for the other approach — a defined, framed edge around the fire rather than a flush one. It is a design decision, not a requirement.

At a hundred inches it is worth thinking about seriously. That is over eight feet of finished edge, and a trim is far more forgiving of an imperfect cut than a flush finish is. If there is any doubt about how true the opening will be, the trim is the safer specification.
