Dimplex 50" Trim Kit for Ignite Evolve and IgniteXL

The Dimplex trim kit (model XLFTRIM50, Dimplex order number X-XLFTRIM50) finishes a 50-inch fireplace to the wall, covering the joint between the appliance and your finish material so no cut edge of drywall, tile or stone shows.

One kit, two ranges. Dimplex lists this as the "Ignite Evolve / XL Trim Kit" — it fits both the Ignite Evolve 50" (EVO50) and the IgniteXL 50" (XLF50). If you have either, this is your trim.

Do You Need One?

Not necessarily. Both the Evolve and the IgniteXL are designed so the factory trim can come off and finish material run right to the glass for a frameless look. The trim kit is for the other approach — a defined, framed edge around the fire rather than a flush one. It is a design decision, not a requirement.

Where it does earn its place is on a retrofit or a less-than-perfect opening, because a trim is far more forgiving of a rough cut than a flush finish is.
