With its sleek lines and refined look, the Valcourt Mundo II Wood Burning Fireplace completely redefines the true nature of wood heating. Its modern design perfectly combines functionality, comfort and safety. Environmentally friendly, this non-catalytic fireplace is EPA 2020 certified at just 1.2 g/h of particulate emissions and heats 750 to 2,200 square feet from a 2.5 cubic foot firebox.
The hot air gravity kit required with the Mundo II will let you harness all the power from this fireplace while respecting the contemporary lines of your decor. The most serious user can also install a forced air kit, which allows better and more efficient heat transfer to rooms located further from the fireplace.

Framing Dimensions
Give these to your builder before framing. The Mundo II is a wide unit and its alternate widths are the widest in the Valcourt range. Valcourt’s 2026 price list makes a fresh air intake mandatory on the FP12R, while the installation manual (46151A, 2025-11-12) still shows it as optional. Because the intake widens the framed opening, we list that width first: frame to it, and call us before framing to the narrower width:

Note the 76" minimum ceiling height — 4" lower than the Lafayette II, which can make the Mundo II the workable option in a room with a low ceiling. The 3" maximum mantel depth still applies.
