Napoleon Elevation X 36": A Direct Vent Gas Fireplace Designed to Impress
The modulating ENDLESS EMBERS™ electric ember bed glows beneath the log set, and the included NIGHT LIGHT™ can be used on its own when the fire is off. The clean face design keeps the front unobstructed, allowing a full firebox flame view that draws the eye naturally.
The Elevation X 36" has a maximum input of 37,000 BTU/hr on natural gas or 34,000 BTU/hr on propane. A heat circulating blower with variable speed and thermostatic control comes standard, and optional Ducted Heat Management (DHM), Dynamic Heat Control™ (DHC), Dynamic Heat Control™ Plus (DHC+) or Hot Air Distribution (LHAD) systems give more flexibility in how the fireplace is installed.
A High Definition log kit (driftwood, oak or birch) and a set of decorative panels are both required to complete the fireplace and are sold separately.
Control comes via the included ProFlame II remote or the included eFIRE controller and app, which put flame height, lighting, and blower speed on a mobile device.

What size opening do I need to frame for the Elevation X 36?
The finished opening is 39-3/4" wide by 44-1/4" high by 22-1/4" deep, with a rough framing width of 42-3/4". Always confirm against the installation manual for your specific model, finishing kit and venting configuration before cutting, and never let framing or finishing material encroach inside the fireplace’s finishing flange.
What heat management options are available?
The Elevation X is compatible with Napoleon’s optional Ducted Heat Management (DHM), Dynamic Heat Control™ (DHC), Dynamic Heat Control™ Plus (DHC+) and Hot Air Distribution (LHAD) systems; DHC cannot be combined with the LHAD kit. The combustible finishing kit (DHCEX/DHMEX) needs an air outlet opening in the enclosure; the non-combustible kit (NCEX36/42) does not.
Can the Napoleon Elevation X 36" run on propane?
Yes. It is sold as EX36NTEL for natural gas or EX36PTEL for propane. The appliance is only for use with the gas type on its rating plate and is not convertible unless a certified kit is used, so confirm the fuel type before ordering.
What is the gas input of this model?
Maximum input is 37,000 BTU/hr on natural gas and 34,000 BTU/hr on propane. It is certified as a vented decorative gas appliance.

Gas Fireplaces – President’s Lifetime Limited Warranty
The following are warranted against defects for as long as you own the appliance: combustion chamber, heat exchanger, stainless / steel burner, PHAZER® logs and embers, rocks, ceramic glass (thermal breakage only), gold plated parts against tarnishing, porcelainized enameled components and aluminum extrusion trims.* During the first 10 years Napoleon will repair or replace defective parts covered by the lifetime warranty free of charge. From 10 years to life, Napoleon will provide replacement parts at 50% of the current retail price.
Electrical (110V and millivolt) components and wearable parts are covered during the first year: blowers, gas valves, thermal switches, switches, wiring, remote controls, ignitors, gaskets and pilot assemblies.* Labour related to warranty repair is covered during the first year (not applicable to gas log sets) and must be done through an authorized Napoleon dealer.
