Control comes just as easily. The included enhanced full-function remote or the eFIRE app puts flame height, blower speed, top lights and thermostat within reach from across the room. No fumbling with knobs. Just a tap and the fireplace responds.
The Ascent Linear Premium 42 includes an upgraded premium safety barrier that gives a clear view of the flames while protecting against accidental contact with the hot glass. A blower, top lights and a full-function remote are included as standard.
The optional Universal Heat Management (UHM) system runs electricity-free and without blowers, circulating warm air through ducts rather than out the front of the fireplace. It also lowers clearances to combustibles and allows safe installation of a TV or artwork above the fireplace, opening up more layout options for a mantel wall or media center.
Framing dimensions are minimums and should allow for finished floor and hearth thickness, plus the thickness of any finishing material. It is not necessary to install a hearth extension with this appliance. Refer to the installation manual for complete framing, venting and clearance requirements.

What rough opening does the Premium 42 need?
Frame the opening 42-1/2" wide by 39-3/8" high by 18-9/16" deep as a minimum. The appliance itself measures 42" wide by 38-13/16" high by 18-5/16" deep.

Gas Fireplaces – President’s Lifetime Limited Warranty
The following are warranted against defects for as long as you own the appliance: combustion chamber, heat exchanger, stainless / steel burner, PHAZER® logs and embers, rocks, ceramic glass (thermal breakage only), gold plated parts against tarnishing, porcelainized enameled components and aluminum extrusion trims.* During the first 10 years Napoleon will repair or replace defective parts covered by the lifetime warranty free of charge. From 10 years to life, Napoleon will provide replacement parts at 50% of the current retail price.
Electrical (110V and millivolt) components and wearable parts are covered during the first year: blowers, gas valves, thermal switches, switches, wiring, remote controls, ignitors, gaskets and pilot assemblies.* Labour related to warranty repair is covered during the first year (not applicable to gas log sets) and must be done through an authorized Napoleon dealer.
