Empire Rushmore 30" Direct Vent Fireplace Insert

The Empire Rushmore 30" Direct Vent Fireplace Insert turns your existing wood-burning fireplace into an efficient gas-fired heat source.  Direct-Vent Fireplace Inserts are classified as zone heating appliances. Zone heating is inherently more efficient than your existing wood-burning fireplace or your central furnace.

Empire Rushmore 30" Direct Vent Fireplace Insert feature the TruFlame system – a combination of technology and aesthetics to create realistic flames and a glowing ember bed, mimicking a natural wood fire.

Available in two sizes, 30 and 35, these inserts turn your wood-burning fireplace into an attractive and efficient focal point. The multifunction remote operates as a conventional thermostat, a Smart Thermostat – which modulates flame height as the room reaches the desired temperature, or as a manual control. The remote also operates the included accent light and blower.

Installation Requirements

• Minimum fireplace opening: 19-1/2" H x 31-1/4" W front x 22" W rear x 18" D (subtract the surround depth from the depth)
• Venting / liner: Direct vent through two flexible liners run up the existing chimney: 3" diameter combustion-air intake and 4" diameter exhaust; vertical vent rise 10 ft minimum to 40 ft maximum
• Clearances: Minimum 8" from the side of the fireplace opening to a perpendicular combustible side wall. Follow the installation manual for combustible mantels and trim above the opening.
• Gas input (BTU/hr): Natural gas 30,000 max / 19,500 min; propane 28,500 max / 22,000 min
• Power: Requires a 120V, 60Hz, 1 amp electrical supply; 4 AA batteries supplied for battery backup.
• Installation: Must be installed by a qualified installer per the installation manual and local codes.
