The Dimplex Revillusion 24" Built-In Electric Firebox, Neutral Brick (model REV24-NB, Dimplex order number 500005127) delivers a realistic fireplace experience with the patented Revillusion® flame effect. This recessed firebox suits feature walls, media units and traditional fireplace openings, creating the ambiance of a real fire with no venting at all. The neutral brick backer gives a classic fireplace look that sits comfortably in both contemporary and traditional rooms.

Unlike the larger Revillusion models, the 24" runs on a standard 120 V circuit only — no 208 V or 240 V option — which makes it the simplest of the range to wire.

Will It Fit? Rough Opening

Frame to these dimensions. Dimplex is specific that the finished surround must be cut to the framing width and height precisely:

The front of the firebox must not be recessed behind the finished wall. Setting it back blocks the airflow out of the heater. The flange sits proud of the framed opening by design.

Electrical Requirements

Note the 12.5 A draw against a 15 A circuit — this needs its own dedicated circuit, not a shared one. Dimplex quotes two wattages because the heater eases off as the room warms: 1,500 W from cold, 1,350 W at 25 °C.

Clearances

The firebox must never be in direct contact with building insulation or a vapour barrier — that is the clearance that matters most on this model, and it is easy to miss when a framer is insulating around a firebox in an exterior wall.

This is an indoor appliance. Dimplex's guide states it is not to be used outdoors, and the firebox is not watertight. In a bathroom it must be on a GFCI-protected circuit and sited where it cannot fall into a tub or basin.

2 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY. Dimplex warrants this product free from defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the date of first purchase. In-home warranty service is included for the first year; the second year is a replacement-of-parts warranty without in-home service. Proof of purchase is required.
