Choosing an Amantii

Slim, Deep or Extra Tall

This is the decision that catches people out, because the names describe the firebox rather than the face. A Slim unit needs the least wall depth and is the one that fits a stud wall without furring it out. A Deep firebox sets the flame further back and gives a noticeably more three-dimensional fire, at the cost of wall depth you may not have. Extra Tall raises the viewing height rather than the width, which suits a tall chimney breast or a double-height room where a standard linear unit looks lost. Measure the available depth before you fall for a particular look, because depth is the constraint that cannot be worked around after the wall is framed.

Indoor, or genuinely rated for outside

Twenty-five of the models here carry an indoor/outdoor rating, which is unusual and is one of the real reasons to choose Amantii. That rating means the unit is built to tolerate the humidity and temperature swings of a covered patio or screened porch. It does not mean exposed to weather — these still need a roof over them. An indoor-only electric fireplace installed outside will fail, and not slowly.

Three-sided and see-through

Twelve models show the fire from more than one side. A Tru View unit is finished on three faces, so it works as a room divider or at the end of a peninsula where people see it from both sides. The trade-off is framing: a multi-sided unit needs a structure built around it rather than a recess in an existing wall, and the finishing work roughly doubles. Decide on the configuration before you shortlist widths, because it narrows the available sizes considerably.

Power and heat

Like all electric fireplaces on a standard 120V circuit, the heater is capped at about 1,500 watts, which is roughly 5,100 BTU. That is supplemental warmth for a room, not a heating system, and it does not scale with the size of the fireplace — a 100" unit and a 30" unit on the same circuit put out the same heat. Larger models are frequently hardwired rather than plug-in, so budget for an electrician and confirm where the wiring has to enter the firebox before the wall closes up.

One wood stove

Amantii is an electric brand with a single exception: the Lynwood W76, a cast iron freestanding wood stove. It is EPA 2020 certified, burns dry cordwood, puts out 13,784 to 57,674 BTU and is rated to around 2,000 sq ft, with a 6" flue. If you came here for electric it is not what you want; if you need real heat from a stove, it is a serious appliance and it needs a chimney.

Can an Amantii fireplace be installed outdoors?

Twenty-five of the models we carry are rated for indoor and outdoor use, and those are designed for a covered patio, screened porch or similar sheltered space. The rating covers humidity and temperature swings, not direct weather, so the unit still needs a roof over it. Models without that rating are indoor-only and will fail outside, so check the specific model rather than assuming the range is outdoor-capable.

What is the difference between Symmetry and Panorama?

Both are built-in linear fireplaces and they overlap in size. Symmetry is the core range and offers Smart models with app and voice control plus Bespoke versions with a taller, deeper firebox. Panorama is organised by firebox depth instead: Slim for shallow walls, Deep for a more three-dimensional flame, and Extra Tall for greater viewing height. If wall depth is your limiting factor, start with Panorama Slim; if you want the broadest choice and smart control, start with Symmetry.

What does Tru View mean?

Tru View is Amantii's multi-sided range. These units are finished on three faces or as a see-through, so the fire is visible from more than one direction. They suit room dividers and peninsulas rather than a recess in a single wall. They do need a purpose-built structure around them, so the framing and finishing cost is meaningfully higher than a single-sided install.

How much heat does an Amantii produce?

About 5,100 BTU from a 1,500 watt heater on a standard 120V circuit, which will take the chill off a room but will not heat a house. This is a property of the electrical supply rather than the brand, and it does not increase with the width of the fireplace. If you need real heating output, a gas fireplace starting around 20,000 BTU is the right product instead.

Do Amantii fireplaces come with a remote?

Yes, the fireplaces ship with a remote control, and the Smart models add app and voice control on top. Flame colour, brightness and speed are adjustable independently of the heater, so the fire can run through the summer with the heat switched off.
